Scholarships at Providence

IMG_1507Providence Christian Academy has scholarships available for qualifying low-income Florida families.  This scholarship program is a little-known secret among families who may be eligible.

The Step Up For Students scholarship program, administered through Florida Tax Credit (CTC) scholarship funding organizations, helps cover private school tuition and fees worth up to $5272 for the 2014-2015 school year.  These scholarships provide a fresh start for students who may not be succeeding in their current school setting or for low-income families who prefer to have their children in a faith-based private school environment.

Scholarships will be awarded to qualifying Florida students until funding is exhausted, so applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.  Income limits for scholarship recipients are determined by household size.  For example, a family of four should be presently be earning no more than $3,677   per month to qualify.

In a two-person household, the maximum present income is $2,426 per month.  In a three-person household, families may earn a maximum of $3,051 per month.  These eligibility amounts may increase in July.
